TOWN OF TEWKSBURY REQUESTS HELP FROM RESIDENTS
The Town of Tewksbury is requesting that residents work with their neighbors to clear storm drains in front of their property and along their roadway.
There is a high possibility of Hurricane Sandy hitting the east coast with heavy rains and high winds. There are over 3,300 storm drains/catchbasins in the Town of Tewksbury. The DPW has had multiple crews out clearing the storm drains in preparation for the storm. However, the trees have been dropping the Fall foliage quickly which makes it impossible to clear all drains.
The DPW is asking that residents check the storm drains, rake leaves away from the drain, and to dispose of the leaves and debris away from the street or in brown paper leaf bags. Please Do not remove the storm grates.
Thank you for your cooperation
