POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE WRESTLING SEASON!!!!!
REGISTRATION:
Dates: Wednesday. October 19th, and Friday October 21st
Location: Tewksbury Police Headquarters
Time: 5-7 pm (Training Room)
Cost: Grades K-2: $50 Grades 3-8: $75 (max cost per family $135)
Please make check payable to Tewksbury PAL Wrestling(NO CASH)
Team uniforms of shorts and t-shirt are included in registration fee
Registration forms available on site and posted on the Tewksbury PAL website in the Handouts section.
First Practice is scheduled for Wednesday, November 2nd. Please wear shorts, t-shirt and wrestling shoes which can be purchased at most sporting goods stores (or sneakers). There will be a meeting for parents at this practice so that we can let you know what to expect and answer any questions you may have.
2011-2012 PRACTICE SCHEDULE: All practices are held at the Wynn Middle School.
Monday: Grades 3rd-8th 5:30-7:00pm
Wednesday: Grades K-4th : 5:30-6:30pm and Grades 5th-8th 6:30-8:00 pm
Thursday: Grades 5th -8th: 5:30-7:30pm
MVC Wrestling League ( 4th -8th graders): We will be combining our team with Wilmington Youth Wrestling this year We had a very successful season in the MVC league last year. We will be competing again this year in 15 weight classes against competitors from across the Merrimack Valley and NH.
Individual Tournaments: Tewksbury had numerous Tournament champions and place winners from K thru 8th grade at the various tournaments that we participated in.
Why should your child wrestle? The sport of wrestling is one of the oldest sports in the world. Wrestling will teach your child discipline and help develop self-confidence and build muscles.
Can my child wrestle and play another winter sport such as basketball/hockey? Yes, we have many wrestlers who play multiple sports.
