Camp Pohelo is a free 5 week summer recreation program for Tewksbury residents ages 3 - 22 who have an active I.E.P. (Individualized Education Plan).   Please note that a 504 plan does not meet the criteria for this program. The goal of the camp is to give recreational and social opportunities to children who would not otherwise benefit from other recreational programs offered by the town of Tewksbury.

Camp Pohelo is scheduled from Monday, July 7, to Friday, August 10.   Camp hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Dewing School Gym.   Children are transported by school bus to and from camp.  A variety of weekly activities are offered, such as arts and crafts, whiffle ball, kickball, basketball and more.  There are daily field trips, which include swimming at Shawsheen Tech, bowling at the Collins Bowling Alley, movies and more.  Parents are sent a calendar of daily activities.
