TRANSITIONAL DISTRICT

The purpose of a transitional district is to protect established neighborhoods from land use conflicts caused by high levels of noise, illumination and traffic.  It accomplishes these objectives with additional regulatory safeguards, buffers, and a controlled mix of uses that are compatible with both residential neighborhoods and nearby commercial or industrial activity.
