HOURS
All Commercial
Permits will be issued Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
All Residential
Smoke Detector Permits will be issued Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Open Burning
Permits can be obtained at any time beginning January 1, 2007.
- Residential Smoke Detectors for Home Resale
or Refinancing

For a description of where to install smoke detectors in the residential
setting and what will be needed to receive a smoke detector inspection
certificate from the Fire Department.

- Industrial Gas Storage Permits
-
If you store any industrial gases on your property, whether commercial or
residential, you must obtain a storage permit from the Fire
Department. This requirement is for the protection of firefighters
responding to your location for an emergency and to meet State laws
pertaining to storage of certain materials. Some examples of
industrial gases would include acetylene, oxygen, argon, and commercial
propane tanks.

- Open Burning Permit Information
- The Tewksbury Fire Department allow the open burning of brush
and tree trimmings, but not leaves, grass, or construction

- Plans Review for Residential New
Construction and Remodeling

Residential Plans Review are conducted free of charge at the Central Fire
Station at 21 Town Hall Avenue.
